HHF’s President and CEO, Antonio Tijerino will receive the Public Service Award at this year’s Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Embassy Dinner!
The GWHCC’s Embassy Dinner VIP reception will start at 6:30 pm, followed by the dinner at 7:30 pm at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
This award is an honor, and in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month. Every year Americans observe this month by celebrating the culture and contributions of American citizens!
The Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is a membership driven organization that supports the economic development of the Washington DC metropolitan region by facilitating the success of Latino and other minority- owned businesses and the communities they serve through networking, advocacy, education and access to capital. This year’s Hispanic Heritage Awards included top Latino performers and personalities, including Gael Garcia Bernal, Latin music superstar Luis Fonsi, The Latin Recording Academy, Members of the Nation’s “DREAMER” Community, NASCAR’s Groundbreaking Alba Colon and Coca- Cola’s Rudy Beserra.
The Hispanic Heritage Awards (HHA’s) were established in 1987 by President Ronald Reagan to commemorate the creation of Hispanic Heritage Month in America. Since that time, our HHA’s are considered among the highest honors for Hispanics by Hispanics. The Awards recognize the contributions and accomplishments of leading Latino individuals and organizations in various fields while celebrating cultural pride and the great promise of America.
