HHF Hosts 2nd Annual LOFT Investors Forum

The Treasurer of The United States Rosie Rios and The Treasurer of California John Chiang to Keynote Forum of 100 Participants

LOS ANGELES, CA – Hispanic Heritage Foundation’s (“HHF”) Latinos On Fast Track (LOFT) program hosted the 2nd Annual LOFT Investors Forum (the “Forum”) of Latino pension fund trustees, investment staff, and early-career finance professionals on June 23 – 24, 2015.  The Forum’s official partner was the California State Teachers Retirement System (“CalSTRS”).

The Forum promotes best practices, education, and a talent pipeline.  Panelists discussed personal experiences of trustees; board governance and fiduciary responsibilities; macroeconomic outlook; shareholder activism; asset allocation and risk management; equities; fixed income; real estate and real assets; private markets; hedge funds; regional, community, and impact investing; as well as specialized, diverse, and emerging manager programs.

Keynote speakers will include the Treasurer of the United States, Rosie Rios, the Treasurer of California and trustee at CalPERS and CalSTRS, John Chiang, and founder of the Westly Group and former controller of California, Steve Westly.
