HHF’s 4th Annual Latinos on Fast Track (LOFT) Investors Forum sponsored by GCM Grosvenor, the Rock Creek Group and LM Capital Group and Latino Investors Dinners reached 170+ Latino investment professionals in Washington, DC, Los Angeles and Chicago!
The Forum is a unique initiative centered around educational trainings for Latino institutional investment professionals including: trustees, investment staff, asset managers and other relevant industry stakeholders. The Forum provided opportunities related to investments and best practices tailored for trustees. A robust network of Latino trustees and investors was fostered as a platform for promising, young Latino professionals to grow into senior roles.
“We had a 2:1 ratio of LP’s and GP’s, included interactive panels to the agenda in an effort to cultivate an educational environment and provided a fruitful networking opportunity for participants,” said Jessica Herrera, Development Coordinator.
Workshops encompassed personal experiences of trustees in driving change, board governance/ fiduciary responsibilities, shareholder activism/risk management, equities, real estate/ real assets, regional, community/impact investing and specialized manager programs. In anticipation of the Forum, Latino Investors Dinners were hosted throughout 2017 where Latino investment professionals collaborated, networked and supported each other’s careers.
