Meet the Creative Director behind Locales Festival!

Hispanic Heritage Foundation

Milcho, creative powerhouse, is the Creative Director behind Locales Festival by Chef James at Bayside Marketplace in Miami this Sunday, April 2nd!

Locales Festival will feature multiple stages, including a Latinos On Fast Track (LOFT) Music Stage, with performances by artists like DJ Lolo, Mr. Pauer, Locos Por Juana, Valentina Rico, Zander, and many others. An amount of all profits from Locales by Chef James are donated to the Miami Bayside Foundation (MBF), a nonprofit organization designed to advance economic development throughout the city of Miami.

Milcho was instrumental in the success of The Foundation’s star-studded, National Miami Youth Awards where Grammy and Latin-Grammy nominated band Locos Por Juana performed at New World Symphony.

With an extensive background, Milcho is a Salvadorian TV & Music Video Director as well as a Visual Artist and photographer in Miami. Her television work can be seen on all major television networks such as MTV, Telemundo, Mun2, among many others.

Her work has been nominated for an MTV Latino Music Video Award, EMMY, and IMAGEN Awards.  Milcho also serves on the Board of the Florida Chapter for the Recording Academy for the Grammy’s, as well as the board of MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) in Miami.

In 2012, Milcho gave a TEDx talk in El Salvador, where she spoke about her creative process linked to her hair condition called Trichotillomania, the urge to pick and pull one’s hair obsessively. She has spoken on various platforms about her condition and is an advocate to other women around the country who struggle with the same issue.
