Marcus Andrew Garcia of Turlock, California attends Turlock Christian High, where he holds a perfect 4.0 GPA. An AP student of Mexican and Portuguese descent, Marcus will be the first in his family to attend college. A four-year recipient of Highest Academic Honors and the Scholar Athlete Award, Marcus is a three-year Most Outstanding Student and a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. An active leader, Marcus credits his perseverance, patience, and relentless effort as the traits crucial to his success. Last year, Marcus organized the first “Free Thanksgiving Dinner” in his community, serving more than 1,300 meals to the hungry and homeless. Marcus will attend Notre Dame University in the fall, where he will major in Neuroscience/Psychology.
