| Melinda Uriegas of Edinburg, Texas participates in golf tournaments throughout the state. When she’s not playing, she coaches children ages 7 through 17 and dedicating as much time as possible to The University of Texas Health Science Center’s Med/Ed program where she has shadowed a leading ophthalmologist and learned about various careers in the medical world. Of Mexican descent, Melinda has a 4.0 GPA at Edinburg High School. In the fall, she will begin a seven-year doctor of medicine degree program at UT Pan American. |
