Of Mexican decent, Flaviano Graciano has been passionate about journalism for as long as he can remember. However, it was not until recently that Flaviano narrowed down his interest to broadcast journalism. He was selected to serve as the co-host of the Dallas ISD TV Show “School Zone Dallas” which is watched by over one million viewers in the Dallas area. With a solid 3.35 GPA, Flaviano is currently ranked 68 out of 445 seniors and participates in a myriad of diverse activities including the Future Teachers Association, Environmental Club, Key Club and Big Brothers Program. Flaviano has been honored on his school’s Honor Roll and received the prestigious Community Service Award. Devoted to the development of his own community, Falviano collects and donates books to a local middle school in addition to mentoring students both there and at his high school.   Flaviano has been an integral member of the JROTC since 2005 and has risen to the rank of Cadet Lieutenant in addition to being the first Marine Corp Cadet to be chosen to serve as the Executive Officer of the more than 4000 Cadets comprising the Dallas ISD Combined Army, Navy and USMC JRPTC Brigade. With extensive leadership experience under his belt, he aspires to represent the Latino community in the English media by becoming a new anchor. Flaviano will attend the university of North Texas where he will pursue a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
