LOFT STEM Symposium Leading Students in LA!

Hispanic Heritage Foundation

The Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) hosted its first LOFT STEM Symposium of the year this week at California State Dominguez Hills!

The LOFT STEM Leadership Symposium is a free leadership and workforce development program sponsored by the Army that provides career-path guidance, educational opportunities, and connectivity for students and young professionals in the STEM fields.

Our friends at the U.S. Army and other panelists provided their personal success stories, words of advice, and answered other questions about their respective professions.

Graduating high school and preparing for college are important, and our LOFT STEM Symposia allow youth and other professionals to connect and have meaningful conversations.

Students in high school are preparing to not only graduate, but also find a profession they are interested in pursuing after they graduate, and that can be difficult for many.

There are 3 million vacant jobs in the STEM fields, and HHF’s mission is to prepare, connect, and inspire students across the country!

Youth and other professionals connected to our LOFT program are then given access to year-long LOFT Innovation Workforce Development programs including Innovation Fellowships, Youth Awards, and other work-based learning opportunities.

Our next LOFT STEM Symposium will be taking place at Miami Dade College on February 14, and 15th.
