The Coca-Cola Company and iHeartMedia announce a $150,000 donation to Hispanic Heritage Foundation in support of Latino Culture & Youth Programs
WASHINGTON, D.C. – In celebration of 35 years of Hispanic Heritage Month, The Coca-Cola Company and iHeartMedia today announced a $150,000 donation to the Hispanic Heritage Foundation in support of Latinx youth through year-round innovative programs focused on education, sustainability, technology, and identity as well as a tool kit – titled LatinKnow – promoting Hispanic culture to be made available year-round.
Through the partnership, HHF is assembling 35 years of content, data and inspiration to promote Latino culture, accomplishment and our great promise through a year-round effort locally and nationally.
“This comprehensive digital package will be shared with students, families, communities and the public and private sectors to ensure our diverse stories are told in our voices and through our lenses,” said Antonio Tijerino, president and CEO of HHF. “We will add to the LatinKnow kit as our history is added on to in collaboration with other Hispanic-serving institutions, academic institutions, cultural institutions, among others. We are grateful to Coca-Cola and iHeartMedia for understanding that our history is American history, and we look forward to sharing, inspiring and informing all communities, including our own, about our impact.”
