Youth Awards Mi Historia

The Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) activated the Youth Awards Mi Historia digital campaign during our 19th Annual Youth Awards 2017-2018 season and we are thrilled to announce the winner is AnaMichele Morejon, Youth Awards 2017 Silver Media & Entertainment Awardee! Youth Awardees Share Their Perspectives

HHF honors Latino youth by sharing their voices and perspectives. We asked our Youth Awardees about their Hispanic Heritage and they answered! Youth Awardees shared how their Hispanic culture has inspired them to succeed and what it meant for them to receive the Youth Award in their regions.  In addition, Youth Awardees also shared advice they would give other Hispanic students.

Furthermore, Youth Awards Mi Historia was an opportunity for our Youth Awardees to become content creators and star in HHF’s YouTube channel by filming and narrating videos and expressing their uniquely creative personalities.  AnaMichele will be featured on HHF’s social media, including our YouTube channel!

Mi Historia Content Creator Winner, AnaMichele

“I want other Hispanics to know that we can do whatever we set our minds to. We are the next generation and we are capable of doing great things not just because of our growing size but because of our values and our experiences that only make us strong but make us who we are!”

As a result, our Youth Awardees have incredible insight to offer to our community. They can inspire all of us in creating and consuming valuable, relevant content in media, entertainment, technology, education and more. Therefore, technology we can communicate our ideas, share our insights, memories, videos, digital media and more for our online content creator communities. These are all valuable opportunities for students to spark meaningful conversations as they are graduating high school and transitioning into their college education/ careers.

Therefore, Youth Awards Mi Historia received dozens of video submissions from recent and past Youth Awardees in all categories. HHF looks forward in sharing more opportunities like this with all of our followers. HHF’s Youth Awardees are selected from thousands of applicants! In 2017, the Youth Awards honored Latino high school seniors in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Northern California,  Washington, DC, Miami and more.
