Youth Voices for Diversity Conference
The Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF)’s President and CEO, Antonio Tijerino to speak on the A Conversation Abut Experiences Panel at the Youth Voices for Diversity Conference, taking place at Norwood High School in Silver Spring, MD!
Therefore, students from PGCPS, the District of Columbia, Baltimore City and Montgomery County will be attending the conference. Most noteworthy, students will learn skills to become leaders, advocates and equity ambassadors in their schools.
In addition, speakers at the conference include Dr. Jack Smith, Superintendent, MCPS, Dr. Kevin Maxwell, Chief Operating Officer, PGCPS, Dr. Jane Spence, Deputy Chief of Secondary Schools, DCPS, Mr. Andre Cowling, Chief of Schools, BCPS and Maleke Glee, Executive Director, PGAAMCC.
Furthermore, HHF’s very own Youth Awardee, Stephanie Montaño will be leading the Student Discourse and the Kiva Process, along with facilitators, HHF board member, Juan Sepulveda and Hector Araujo at the Conference. As a result, students will participate in an interactive community art project including all four school districts and featured on social media!
