The Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) celebrated Alejandra Castillo, newly announced CEO of YWCA USA in Washington, DC at a reception held at Crowell and Moring on Feb 15th! 

HHF was honored to host this reception in celebration of Alejandra. Alejandra has dedicated her life to public service and starting on September 18, 2017, Alejandra Castillo now proudly serves as the new CEO of YWCA USA.  Alejandra strongly believes in the power of partnership, impacting change and providing opportunities for communities through entrepreneurship and social impact investment. 

“Who better than a Latina to step in during times of crisis,” said HHF’s President and CEO, Antonio Tijerino. 

YWCA USA’s mission is to eliminate racism, empower women, stand up for social justice and strengthen families and communities across the country. YWCA USA serves over 2 million women, girls and their families! The organization is focused on creating change in racial justice and civil rights, empowerment and economic advancement of women/girls and the health/safety of women and girls. 

Top recognitions and awards that Alejandra has received include, 2016 National Urban League “Woman of Power” Award, Hispanic Business Magazine “Top 100 Influential Latinos in the U.S.” and the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia “Rising Star” Award! Congratulations Alejandra, your leadership and commitment to our community inspires us!
