Five National Winners Chosen from 150 Regional Awardees Among 34,000+ Applicants Nationwide

SEATTLE, WA – The Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) today announced the five recipients of the 26th Annual Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards. These outstanding high school seniors have been celebrated as Leaders of Today for their dedication to serving others, vision, and leadership, not only within their communities but also in the classroom. The national ceremony will take place on March 24 at the Tech Experience Center, located at 1759 135th Place NE, Bellevue, WA 98005, from 5-7pm PDT. Please RSVP HERE.

Technology

Selected from 150 regional awardees and among 34,000 applicants from across the United States, these exceptional students have been recognized in various categories including Community Service, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Technology, and Green. The awards were presented across five virtual ceremonies by The Coca-Cola Company, Colgate-Palmolive, Southwest Airlines, and Wells Fargo.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the achievements and potential of these young, innovative leaders who will carry on the tradition of past Youth Awardees,” said Antonio Tijerino, President and CEO of HHF. “We are grateful to our dedicated sponsors who understand the importance of investing in the youngest and most dynamic segment of our population. We need their leadership today, not just in the future because we can’t afford to wait.”

The Youth Awards applicant pool is the main feeder to LOFT (Leaders On The Fast Track) and Leadership Institute (LLI), an active institution focused on leadership, workforce, community, culture, and social justice led in partnership by the HHF and Trinity University. The applicants and Youth Awardees are also be funneled into the LOFT Network, which is a collective of 350,000 Latino leaders (ages 15-40) with access to additional training, resources, programs, mentoring, career paths, internships, and full-time positions with Fortune 500 Companies.
