MINNEAPOLIS, MN – The Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) announced today that the legendary Mexican-American band Los Tigres del Norte will perform at the 39th Annual Hispanic Heritage Awards, taking place on September 10, 2026, at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis.
This year’s ceremony will honor the People of Minnesota (Humanitarian Award), singer/musician Oscar D’León (Legend Award), Rep. Joaquin Castro (Public Service Award), along with singer-songwriter Mon Laferte (Social Justice Award), rapper Eladio Carrión (Inspira Award), and singer-songwriter-actress Ximena Sariñana (Music Award), with all three artists also performing at the ceremony. The ceremony will be hosted by Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, a celebrated stand-up comedian and entertainer whose dynamic career has established her as one of today’s leading voices in comedy. With seven comedy specials available across major streaming platforms, she continues to captivate audiences worldwide and regularly sells out theaters.

The Hispanic Heritage Awards are considered among the highest honors for Latinos by Latinos The Awards were established by the White House in 1988 to commemorate the creation of Hispanic Heritage Month in America and are recognized as “America’s Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration” and supported by more than 40 national, Latino-serving institutions.
