National Youth Awards Spotlight: Anthony A.
The Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) will host the 18th Annual National Youth Awards Ceremony on Thursday, January 26, 2017 in Miami, Florida!
HHF is honored to present the Business & Entrepreneurship recipient, New York senior Anthony Amato. Anthony serves as a role model to others, and is a true example of hard work. This is Anthony’s story.
An autodidact with a determined disposition, Anthony taught himself product advertisement and web management and design. With this knowledge in hand, he created an affiliate website while still in middle school. Even then, he had instinctual, savvy and clever approaches, such as offering customers exclusive bonus offers, to get commission revenue through his site.
During his junior year in high school, he launched his very own online freelance agency, New York DesignScapes, which offers graphic design services. He works as chief manager of his agency where he has other freelancers working under him. He manages the agency’s finances and also works establishing all customer communications.
This innovative young impresario’s abilities stretch beyond the business world. He is a classically trained ballet dancer who has been dancing since the age of seven and a violinist, serving as co-principal violinist of his school’s orchestra for two semesters. Dancing on tour as a soloist for the Albany Berkshire Ballet’s production of the Nutcracker has also been a part of his dance career the past 3 years.
Anthony has a passion for photography and cinematography, which has allowed him to create his own personal website, where his followers can purchase licenses and prints of his professional photos. He is a Teen Ambassador for the Ronald McDonald House and has volunteered for the MohawkHudson Land Conservancy, creating and maintaining trails in their preserves. Anthony has been accepted to Temple University, and Bard College and will be studying Finance in college.
This Latino leader is well on his way to a lifetime of future achievements!
