Nationwide, Hispanic Heritage Foundation announce launch of Financial Empowerment Charlas

Hispanic Heritage Foundation

Attendees will learn principles of money management, how to reduce debt, and how to create a wealth mindset for their future

Washington, D.C. Today, Nationwide announced it has partnered with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) to develop a national financial empowerment campaign to help our community understand and attain financial wellness in their lives. Through a three-part video and podcast series, as well as three virtual Charlas scheduled for summer 2020, this initiative will focus on three main areas: Money Management, Debt Management, and Wealth Mindset.

The campaign will launch Thursday, June 25, with the premiere of the first of three Financial Empowerment video-podcast series, “Money Management: Best Practices.”

“Our best partnerships begin with companies that share our values and vision. That’s why we are thrilled about our continued relationship with Nationwide. Their investment in our community will help provide guidance and support in financial empowerment – now and in the future,” said HHF President and CEO, Antonio Tijerino. “We produced a three-part digital ‘Charlas’ series to deliver meaningful, hands-on financial education to our LOFT Network members. We are so proud that these digital Charlas will be led by two of our members, Tanya Menendez and Natalie Torres-Haddad. Both are a great snapshot of what our network looks like – young, dedicated, successful professionals that have benefited from our work and are now giving back.”

The Financial Empowerment Charlas are a great opportunity to impact young people as they start their adult lives, addressing their issues and concerns about finances and wealth. They will learn principles of money management, how to reduce debt, and how to create a wealth mindset for their future. “Nationwide is proud to partner with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation to launch the Financial Empowerment Charlas,” said Lu Yarbrough III, Nationwide’s associate vice president of Enterprise Diverse and Cause Marketing. “This program reinforces Nationwide’s commitment to protecting people, businesses and futures with extraordinary care and helping communities prepare for a brighter tomorrow.”
