SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST AND HISPANIC HERITAGE FOUNDATION PRESENT ‘LATINOS IN TECH SOLVING WEALTH DISPARITY GAPS’ AT AUSTIN CONVENTION CENTER ON MARCH 12TH

AUSTIN, TX (March 9, 2017) — South by Southwest (SXSW) and the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) will present ‘Latinos in Tech Solving Wealth Disparity Gaps,’ on Sunday, March 12th, 5:00-6:00 p.m., at the Austin Convention Center Trade Show- Next Stage- Exhibit Hall 4.

“We are thrilled to partner with SXSW for this important effort which will provide professionals with a perspective to address the wealth disparity gaps in the tech industry, which is integral to America moving forward,” said Emanuel Pleitez, Chairman of the Hispanic Heritage Foundation. “We appreciate Betty Salanic’s leadership in addressing this issue as an advisor to HHF on our investment and entrepreneur tracks.”

Salanic will be moderating the “Latinos in Tech Solving Wealth Disparity Gaps” panel to audience professionals and thought leaders.  HHF’s LOFT (Latinos On Fast Track) program focuses on the tech, entrepreneurship and investment spaces through year-round, awards programs.  The day before this panel, HHF is hosting “Hacking a Career in Tech” to prepare Latinos to fill gaps in America’s tech workforce.

The panel will include: Ramona Ortega, Founder and CEO of My Money My Future, Sean Salas, Co-Founder and CEO of Camino Financial, and Tony Aguilar, Co-Founder of Student Loan Genius.
