Today, Google Arts and Culture launched the new collection of 50+ museum partnerships across the country celebrating  Latino cultures in the US, the largest ever online collection of artifacts and stories dedicated to U.S. Latino history and culture, and HHF is part of this great collaboration! HHF’s full collection on Google Arts and Culture can be found here.

In HHF’s archive you will find exclusive footage and photographs of our Hispanic Heritage Awards (HHA’s), which were established by President Ronald Reagan to commemorate the creation of Hispanic Heritage Month in America. The HHA’s are considered among the highest honors for Hispanics by Hispanics. Top Latino performers and personalities pay tribute to the Honorees from the stage. Our 30th Anniversary Hispanic Heritage Awards will be taking place next week on September 14th, 2017 at the Historic Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C.!

HHF’s Youth Awards, which honors Latino high school seniors who excel in the classroom and community in various categories including, Business & Entrepreneurship, Community Service, Education, Healthcare & Science, Media & Entertainment and Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) are also included in the Google Arts and Culture collection.

This collection has more than 2,500 new artworks and archives and 69 new exhibits that enable you to easily explore the lives of influential Latino figures and viewers have the opportunity to learn about Latinidad and U.S. Latino Art and experience cultural traditions.

What else can you expect to find? Important Latinos in news and entertainment, the story of iconic New York Institution Ballet Hispanico and the Dream 9, a group of undocumented young people who changed history. You will have the chance to visit a few of the most vibrant neighborhoods in the U.S. that are the centers of Latino culture, by looking at photographs or unmissable locations on Google Street View, and dive into high resolution images of iconic Latino murals.
