Johnnie Walker and Hispanic Heritage Foundation partnered for our 30th Annual Hispanic Heritage Awards (HHA’s) airing October 6th on PBS. “Culture-Stela” an original work, exclusive for our 30th HHA’s was signed on the red carpet by HHA honorees and performers at the Warner Theatre in Washington, DC. “Culture-Stela” is a reflection of the transformative power of creative collaboration in the arts.

Washington, DC-based artist, art director and designer, Juan CRI Pineda created “Culture Stela” which coincides with “Look Back, Move Forward” theme of the 30th Anniversary HHA’s and Johnnie Walker’s “Keep Walking America.” “Culture Stela” serves as a tribute to Latino contributions and culture. Proceeds of the signed artwork will benefit the Hispanic Heritage Foundation.

Honorees Luis Fonsi, Gael Garcia Bernal, Rudy Bessera, along with performers Locos Por Juana, and presenters Dolores Huerta and J.W. Cortes signed the artwork as they finished their red carpet interviews and made their way into the Warner Theatre. We are honored to take part in this beautiful tribute!

“We are extremely grateful to all our sponsors for their support of Hispanic accomplishment, vision and cultural pride,” said Jose Antonio Tijerino, President and CEO, Hispanic Heritage Foundation.  “We are also very excited about the amazing line-up of talent that joined us in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month and the value proposition Latinos offer America.”

The HHA’s included top Latino performers and personalities paying tribute to the Honorees from the stage, and will broadcast nationally on Friday, October 6th (10:00 p.m. ET) on PBS, tune in and share with us your favorite moments using the hashtag #HHA30!

The Awards recognize the contributions and accomplishments of leading Latino individuals and organizations in various fields while celebrating cultural pride and the great promise to America.
