WASHINGTON, DC – The Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) has announced applications for the 24th Annual Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards are now available online.  Latinx high school seniors from across the United States will be selected in 10 categories and recognized as role models through social media campaigns as well as receive a grant to support their educational advancement, or to support a community-based project or idea. To apply, students can visit hhfyouthawards.com.

Youth Awards categories include:

Business & Entrepreneurship (presented by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation)

Community Service (presented by Colgate-Palmolive)

Education (presented by Southwest Airlines)

Engineering (presented by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation)

Green Sustainability (presented by Coca-Cola Company)

Healthcare & Science (presented by CVS Health)

Media & Entertainment (presented by Comcast/NBCUniversal/Telemundo)

Public Service & Social Justice (presented by Nike)

Sports & Fitness (Presented by NFL)

Technology (Presented by T-Mobile)

At 10 regional virtual ceremonies, three students per category will be honored with Gold, Silver, and Bronze medallions. After the Youth Awards ceremonies conclude, one national recipient per category will be recognized and celebrated at the National Youth Awards ceremony.

We’re in good hands as a community and as a country with these outstanding young leaders going forward.”

More than 30,000 high school students apply annually from all 50 states plus Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia and, beyond the Youth Awards, are the main feeder to LOFT (Latinos On Fast Track) Leadership Institute (LLI), which is an active institution focused on leadership, workforce, community, culture, and social justice led in partnership by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation and Trinity University. The Youth Awardees and the applicants will also be funneled into the LOFT Network with access to mentors, resources, networking, workshops, symposia, summits, Charlas, and internships and full-time positions with Fortune 500 Companies.
