The 32nd Annual Hispanic Heritage Awards will take place on October 1st at the prestigious John F. Kennedy for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, and air on PBS Stations nationally during Hispanic Heritage Month. The Awards were established by The White House in 1987 to commemorate creation of Hispanic Heritage Month in America. HHF’s Charlas are local, organized, galvanizing platforms led by members of the community across the country who are presenting, discussing or sharing personal experiences, ideas, actions, projects, topics, etc., to each other in a safe, informal, social manner. Through a series of five-minute, back-to-back presentations with breaks to encourage dialogue, collaboration, and support, the participants leave with new perspectives, inspirations, and a stronger network. The theme of the Nationwide Charlas will be on financial issues that affect Latino families, communities and individuals.
Lastly, Nationwide will provide subject matter expertise on financial education to HHF’s network throughout the partnership through the website, webinars, social media, and targeted outreach.
